Job Summary
To provide production with quality chemically analyze batches and maintain operation of the recycling water systems, with minimal supervision or assistance from peers.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Formulate batches in at least one program by verifying all raw materials against batch records; understand/follow lot control requirements, expiration dates and quantities.
  • Must be able to properly transfer batch slurry and have knowledge of valve location and piping of at least one program.
  • Must be able to maintain inventories of batch, process waters, water treatments and all pertinent records in each workstation and in the database, in at least one program.
  • Must perform specialized testing for Kraft moisture, slurry consistencies, process water pH and turbidity and wash down water chemical requirements.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with co-workers, direct supervisors, and production supervisors.
  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
  • Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must be flexible and reliable to work any shift, schedule on short notice, including overtime and work shut down periods.  Must possess problem solving/trouble shooting capabilities with minimal guidance.
  • Must be capable of working independently or in teams with minimal supervision.
  • Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
  • Must understand and follow MSPI’s, MSDS overview and have training in confined space entry, and have basic knowledge of ISO-9001:2000, basic computer training and other specialized training. Proper training for power washing tank cleaning.
  • Must be respirator certified, training will be provided but must PASS a health test.
