The Site Leader drives Operational Excellence initiatives throughout the heavily matrixed organization and implements effective continuous improvement in support of plant, business units and customer requirements. This position is responsible for providing managerial leadership and direction to the plant/manufacturing facility, maximizing capital and human resource utilization in attaining all financial and operations objectives for assigned plant(s). In addition to creating and executing financial budgets and plans, this position is accountable for leading safety, security, quality, operations, engineering, and supply chain teams for the purpose of producing assigned products according to customer requirements.

Expectations
Create strategic vision for plant operations including multi-year improvement goals for development of people, automation of processes, upgrades to equipment, changes in plant lay-out, et al for the purpose of increasing productivity during the processing of customer orders
Collaborate with the Business Unit Manager in the development and execution of facility operations budgets, expenses, and systems to meet or exceed the annual targets
Ensure 100% compliance in safety, environmental and all other regulations by facilitating and leading awareness, training, investigations, and positive preventative behavior relative to compliance requirements
Facilitate and lead the development of plans, procedures and systems specific to meeting customer needs and satisfaction, timeliness and delivery of goods and services.
Generate quality system to ensure product quality aligns with technical requirements
Develop master production schedule to align program deliverables with customer expectations
Build and develop a team of high potential, top performers driven towards excellence in the execution of assigned tasks
Continually improve all aspects of the facility through the relentless pursuit of identifying and eliminating waste and inefficiencies across all plant and people operations
Accountable for all results of plant performance
Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies
Other Requirements
Travel as required by Vice President of Operations (<15%)
Work closely and align decisions with Business Unit Managers throughout the day to day execution of customer programs
Collaborate with support functions (finance, engineering, human resources, etc.) to ensure plant goals and performance are aligned with the overall Business Unit performance expectations
Report results and/or progress to all operations activities and requirements
Evaluations and appraisals of employee performance at minimum annually
Reporting all barriers to excellent performance of responsibilities immediately once identified

Qualifications/Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or other operations curriculum
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
To conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorization from the U.S. Government.
Must have formal training and/or experience with continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc
Must have had previous P&L responsibilities and strong financial acumen
Extensive experience in a leadership role in a manufacturing environment
Strong organizational skills, decision making skills, interpersonal skills
Demonstrated proficiency in the execution of ERP systems
Preferred Qualifications
MBA with operations focus
Six Sigma Certification (Black or Green Belt)
Government Federal Acquisition Regulations experience
International vendor relations
Cross functional experience – Quality/Supply Chain/Production etc.
ITAR compliance experience
