Job Summary
The Materials Planning Specialist responsibilities include managing inventory levels within ERP system to ensure adequate supply and eliminate production downtime. Duties include, monitoring of work orders, utilizing an ERP system, data entry, and daily tracking of materials from warehousing through final production, and inventory support administrative duties for materials management department.
Primary Responsibilities
Identifying the necessary materials and issuing purchase requisitions.
Coordinate with other departments on production objectives and schedules.
Issue work orders to production to meet schedule.
Material coordination functions relating to the planning, requisition and control of production supplies, scrap reports, and the data collection and analysis of inventory counts for raw materials and packaging.
Relieve inventories of issued materials to job orders in online module.
Backup support for receiving materials in the online module.
Perform administrative duties for Production Control department as needed.
Maintains the highest ethical standards.
Understands and lives by Transdigm’s ethics and business conduct policies.
Qualifications
One to two years material inventory and scheduling experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Must possess good Computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be dependable, responsible, accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
